Patient Account Representative Clerk
The primary function of the Patient Account Representative Clerk is to assist patients that have received services at Franklin Foundation Hospital. This may be either with the patient directly or the insurance company as well as the physician's office. The PAC is responsible for maintaining the revenue and receipt days to obtain efficiency in daily billing.
The Patient Account Representative Clerk reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Supervisor, and works closely with patients, co-workers, medical records, patient registration and the physician clinic.
Assist patients with questions in person or on phone
CPSI Situations
Credit Balance Report
Charity Assistance
Bad Debt review and placements
Process refunds
Process adjustments
Secondary billing
72 hour readmissions report
Assign third party claims to Haik, Minvielle & Grubbs
Resolve outstanding accounts
Payment plan scheduling
Follow up on unpaid insurance claims
Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and Commercial denials
Back up for other office duties
All other assignments by supervisor

Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks
Must be detail oriented
Must be a self starter and work with little to moderate supervision
